Swiss police attacked the action in solidarity with the hunger strike. Two activists were taken into custody.

The Solidarity with the Hunger Strike Platform and the Beritan Women’s Council organised an action in Zurich to support hunger strikers.

Many people joined the action in front of Glabus. Activists carried photos of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and of the hunger strikers.

The police appeared towards the end of the action and stated that in fact the demo was carried out without the proper permission. Two activists were detained. They have been named as Haydar Yılmaz and Emre Aykulteli.

The two activists were taken to the police station while people remained at the demonstration area to protest their detention.
