Activists said that this year’s Newroz celebrations in Kurdistan have sent the colonialists a great message and the same message should be repeated in Europe with the same power and determination.

Nahide Zengin, Ali Poyraz and Mehmet Sait Yılmaz have been on hunger strike in London since 14 March.

On Friday and Saturday, visitors from Day-Mer, Gik-Der, the British Alevi Federation, Dersim-Der and numerous local associations came to the Democratic Kurdish Community Center to express their solidarity and support to the hunger strikers.

Hunger strikers Nahide Zengin, Ali Poyraz and Mehmet Sait Yilmaz called on everyone to join the Newroz celebration organised on Sunday in Finsbury Park.

Activists said that this year’s Newroz celebrations in Kurdistan have sent the colonialists a great message and the same message should be repeated in Europe with the same power and determination.

The hunger strikers also commended Zülküf Gezen, Uğur Şakar and Ayten Behçet who ended their life with a sacrifice action to demand the end of isolation on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
