Families stand with their children who are on hunger strike in prisons against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan.
The hunger strike resistance led by the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven demanding the end of the isolation against Abdullah Öcalan has reached day 141.
The hunger strike in prisons have reached day 103, having started on 16 December and having spread to all prisons in Turkey and North Kurdistan since 1 March.
The prisoners’ families came from Istanbul to Ankara and promoted a sit-in in front of the Ministry of Justice demanding that the demands of their sons and daughters be met.
The families had been asking Ministry officials to arrange a meeting with the Minister for 3 days, but their request was once again rejected.
The families therefore have decided to keep on their action.
